The Loft
Mi casa es su casa - our home is our sanctuary tucked away in the small mountain town of Nelson. This 2,000sq ft, 2 bedroom, 3 bathroom loft is one of a kind located only steps from Baker Street. Decorated with tasteful mid century modern furnishings as well as hints of local and international artists. Whether your remote working and are looking for a natural light paradise or coming to town for a relaxing extended break our home is sure to please. Read on for photos and details.
Living & Dining Space
The perfect space for relaxing or entertaining, with the open concept allowing for fluid movement and ample natural light. Wood floors throughout create continuity between all main level rooms.
Dining space to comfortably seat 6, or 8, depending on layout. Counter height stools to accommodate for kitchen counter hangs while you chef things up right before their eyes!!!
Wired for sound: Sonos speaker system on dining level as well as upper loft level.
Smart TV: a smaller smart TV is located in the living area on this level. It is not the main media center, but lovely for those days you just want to puzzle and watch terrible Christmas Movies from the comfort of the main level.
Some fun: A keyboard for those inclined (weighted keys) or interested in learning, board games & puzzles, access to the outdoor patio (off dining room) overlooking the Railway, Kooteney Lake, Mount Grohman & Pulpit Rock.
Kitchen
Whether you are a chef with skills, or a pro at making the perfect takeout order, our kitchen is sure to please. Fully stocked utensils, plates, etc for everyday needs.
Ample space for prep or laying out charcuterie boards with the amenities you may need to chef up that tasty creation. We have a well stocked walk in pantry for the creative types. If you’re a barista at heart we also have a Breville that works like a dream and if you’re not we also have a bodum or small drip coffee maker to ensure you’re caffeinated no matter what. Feeling frisky? No. 6 coffee & Empire Coffee are only a 6 min walk from our door to theirs).
Artful touches: Vintage tea kettles and modern steepers and our fav pottery to siip out of. Ceramic pieces created locally as well as picked up on travels. Oaxaca cortado sipper? We got you! Vintage glass espresso cups, 80s coloured cocktail glasses and even a few plastic goodies for those outdoor hangs.
Bedrooms
We have two different style bedrooms, both accented with our fav art, a few vintage finds, keystone Herman Miller pieces, as well as designed with soft textures to compliment the hardwood warmth found in both rooms.
Loft Suite: Outfitted with a Tempurpedic King Bed (medium firm), Brooklinen sheets/duvet, MCM triple wide dresser & bedside tables (with storage), gallery track lighting, half bath (toilet / sink / walk in shower), closet storage cabinets, Herman Miller work desk (and printer), Sonos Speaker, multimedia lounge area (with AppleTV, subwoofer & soundbar) and a few more details worth sharing IRL.
Guest Suite: Outfitted with a Queen Bed, (Brooklinen sheets/duvet), MCM double wide dresser, additional storage in the Herman Miller bench, MCM bedside tables (with storage), orb lighting to create a cozy soft light (includes chargers at both bedside lamps), additional air conditioning available if needed (window unit), entrance to the full bath (perfect for a late night bath before bed).

Ensuite Full Bathroom located just off the guest suite. This is the full bathroom with the largest vanity and includes a tub (perfect for soaking after a big hike!) and a shower with adjustable and removable wand.

Loft Ensuite is a 1/2 bath with shower. This space includes a vanity, toilet, sink and walk in shower (with removable wand shower option)
